I looked in FAQ, but haven't found out how people insert quotes from other posts in their own post, automatically set off nicely by lines and smaller font sizes.

Click on the quote button (lower right corner) on the actual post while logged in and your reply window will start with the quote.

You can also copy and paste any quote in to the message by using another quote button from the vB code (no , I don`t know either what that means) window above your message form.
