Just choose a part of the forum and then scroll down, there's a button "new thread" on the left. Click this button, and then you can post a new thread like you post a reply.

And after spending quite sometime at Indiamike, I still get confused when to start a new thread and when to join a conversation! So you will get a hang of it soon. My thumb rule is that if a thread has very similar questions as mine, I will join it rather than starting a new thread.

thanks for your response federica.
It was my first day and i went and saw a few other threads but i wanted to start my own and could not get it. then i saw a link to ask for help in using the IM site and there the new thread button was available to si started it not realising that each forum would have one. i was at the next level with open threads as results from searches and so got a little foxed. thanks a mil anyway. have figured it out now and in Leh having a ball. ciao |
