Hey ! I just noticed I have been designated a Senior Member !

Obviously it’s something to do with the fact that I have reached a 100 posts. So what does that mean ? Do I have to be very serious and erudite in my posts henceforth ? Am I to be goody goody ? Does this lessen my chances of being banned (eeks !)?

How could you do this to me ? Where are the damned mods when you need them ? Please restore me to my original status of a miserable minion ! Pretty please ! I would be particularly grateful if you would amend my status to “Dismembered” (I’m begging you please…I’m down on my knees).

And Mods ! For god’s sake, please don’t respond by directing me to the FAQ and what not explaining the rationale…

If my above entreaties are falling on deaf ears, please accept my resignation as I don't want to belong to any forum that will accept me as a Senior Member. Better still, “Include Me Out !”

Actually, I seriously asked the person in charge of titles at my workplace, a person under my supervision, to make my work title, maha guru. She kept laughing but adamently refused. Where is the respect for authority anymore, ah Kaliyug?

I always take people seriously - so even with your hyperbole, I believe you really want to change your title. So user title, so here's how I changed ours:

Go to your user control panel, select edit profile and call yourself what you'd prefer.

Here are the directions copied from our user title option-
Custom User Title:
This is the title that appears beneath your name on your posts.
Check the 'Reset' box if you wish to use the default title for your usergroup and post count.
Your current user title is
MemberS
Reset
Custom User Title

If you were just joking, then ignore all of the above.
