There's some really interesting photo albums on IM ... some with photos going back to the 70's - but out of the thousands of people who view the pictures, there are only a few comments?
Why's that? Most people on the site don't seem short of an opinion Come on - if you like a photo - say something ![]() |

True.
I think all of us mods check through the photos regularly as part of the job --- often one of the most enjoyable! But I rarely make a comment. And my post count is testimony to my loquacity. Can't say why that is --- but i can say that just because someone's photo doesn't get a comment doesn't mean people don't enjoy it. Do people use the Ratings system? I'm, not a fan of the scoring idea: if I use it it is only ever to give a high rating. I'd no more give a picture a low rating than leave a comment saying what a crap photo!

I am also not a fan of the rating system. as mama used to say, if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all....
and as Nick says, just because there is no comment does not mean people don't like the shot. Personally, I think I have FAB photos.....but there are very few comments!

Am hoping to get back to a few more of the places I photographed in the seventies and re-shoot from the same viewpoint. Possibly the basis for an interesting photo-book? W22 |

I love browsing the photos, I can get lost for hours in them. If I love a photo I give it a rating of 10, otherwise I don't vote, even if I like it..... maybe changing it to an option to somthing like "Recommend this photo" would be an idea?
I'm not really one to analyse art so that's why I rarely make comments. Those 70s pictures were fantastic wanderer22, I'm fascinated by what these places were like long before I saw them, and some of your photos are real works of art. |

Me too.
Some members have the most interesting "eye". Remember Iyou? I loved his pictures, so quirky and real. BB: you've got that kind of "eye" as well! Loved that girls urinal shot. Isn't it funny which ones people look at the most? My "highest view" picture is of a sign in Cochin listing prices for a women's salon. Mach's "room with a view" is another great mind teaser. Hope to see more of everyone's pictures...it seems like the rate of pictures being posted has slowed down, but who knows. Wanderer's 70's pictures have been greatly entertaining. Yes, it is coming back. I'm going to automate it so that it gets updated on a regular basis.
