I took it off the Main Navigation bar because it seemed to be getting too crowded. However, I've made some changes to the Welcome box on the top right hand corner of the site, opposite the IndiaMike logo, as follows:

Your username now links to your USER CP page. So, for example, in my case, it says "Welcome nadreg!", and if I click on nadreg, it takes me to the USER CP.

Nope, you're right. Since most of our members are based in India, I changed the board time to be in IST by standard. However, once you login, it will adjust the time according to your time settings in your profile.

I always gave the "unanswered threads" button a click to see if there was anything I could help out with. Probably won't be so inclined to do so now with it's "relocation".

Yesterday I was completely stumped as I had not been on for some time and there was no quick links, no latest threads and a few other bits and so I was clicking all over to try to find my way round. I logged in to see if things were different and they weren't. Tried later and quick links were up there. Never saw this thread at all so was beginning to wonder somewhat I can tell you.

Well my first thought is that the big logo of IndiaMike.com is great and takes you back to the same page, the text below it is well a link back to the same page and by selecting Home one gets back to the same page; so to get a little screen real estate back may I suggest removing the small IndiaMike.com with the small sun icon beside it.

Hm yes. Even "tab" will get you through a whole menu on my system, it just may take a bit, and it sucks if you miss a point as you'll need to do it all over again.

As I see it (and, a an ex IT Manager, I have no sympathy for software developers) the responsibility of good web developers is to write according to html standards so that their site will be equally usable on all reasonably-up-to-date browsers. There is nothing worse than the use of microsoft tools to produce something that will only work properly in Explorer --- and yes, I am picking on MS, because there is probably no site in the world that 'only works with Opera' or 'only works with Firefox', but there are many that only work with IE . In other words, the development should be Operating System and Browser Independent.

The use of heaps of stuff like flash intros is just bad taste as well as a pain in the neck for slower connections.

Some commercial sites offer a text-only version for dial-up (and for the occasional user, I suppose, who doesn't have a graphic display at all. Lynx on a dumb terminal, anyone?)

But there has to be a limit for what age of software or hardware can be supported.

Nope, though I have been taught a few of these keyboard shortcuts by my kids, and use them regularly.

and what happened to the news section? my page show plenty blank space for birthdays and News and money making ads

Check the Online Users block. There is a link to the complete Membership at the bottom of that pane.

The Travel button takes you to a Travel page. The Latest Forum Topics on that page are the latest threads just from the Travel Forums. I need to change the label on that to make it more clear.
