For the URLs they are a-changin'

Some of the more attentive IndiaMikers might have noticed that the URLs for the forum pages have been changed to be more descriptive of the thread and content. This is a new system setting which I'm trying out.

If you see any errors or issues (like pages not being found), please let me know via this thread, or PM one of the moderators.

As far as we know, the old URLS will work fine.

Please let us know if you find any that don't.

There is one strange thing though.....

I tested the following url and made no attempt to give the url a different description/title.

http://www.mridangam.com/mrdangam.html

and it appeared as....

The Mridangam (I didn't add 'The Mridangam')

So I then tried............

This link

and it appeared as....

This link

The url seems to get changed by the linked website, but if I replace the visable words (EG. 'This link'), I keep control of what appears in my reply.

I don't know if the boss is just testing this or if it will stay or go, but it may cause a little confusion to members not used to websites or forums.
