Ear Marking / Flagging Threads

Frustrated Technophobe Here.....

Is it possible to ear mark or flag a particular thread of interest instead of relying on the search function (which I find too time consuming)?

Thanks

At the top right of the first post in a thread you can select "thread tools".

Next select the link "subscribe to this thread".

From there you can choose whether you want to be sent instant, daily, or weekly updates by email. You can also select no updates by email.

If you choose this last option you can access the thread by going into your "user cp" and looking under "subscribed threads". From there select "list subscriptions" and voila.

Did that help?

OK great, thanks I have that bit!!.....but then how do I find all the threads once I've subsribed to them?

Sorry to ask such an obvious question, but the more I look the more confused I become.

Posting in this thread because my question is do with 'Subscriptions'. What do most people do with their Subscriptions? Mine have now built up to 4 pages - for a while I used to delete what I thought I didn't want any more, but now sometimes a Thread I've found interesting re-surfaces and I might miss it if it's not in my list.
Are subscriptions automatically deleted after a certain time?
Are people more ruthless with their lists than I am now becoming?
Some help here with answers would be much appreciated!

I don't think they are deleted. I still have subscribed threads which are 3 years old. I don't subscribe to many threads, so that keeps the list short.

Aishah, the ones that don't pop back up will just disappear in the background. I have pages and pages of them, although if they pop back up and they're no longer important to me I'll unsubscribe (can be done manually via the >Thread Tools button on top of each thread).

They don't clutter up anything on your side in any case.

That makes sense, thanks Machadinha - I have been going back and unsubscribing as a sort of 'clean up' but as you say it doesn't clutter my computer so I needn't bother. Yes, I just watch for them as they re-surface on page 1 then deal with those.
