Community Section
It seems that the "Community Section" is missing since the new server is working.
Any news? Jorge |

As I understand it, it was not all compatible with the new forum version.
It is also an area full of good ideas which have not really taken solid form. I think Nadreg is sorting out both the technical aspects and the presentation/content aspects.

Yes, I am working on relaunching the Commmunity section. I had to take it offline in the meantime.

Beach and others sent a very good articles and it's a pity not to have the opportunity to copy.

No good articles will be lost.
When it returns, hopeful it will be better defined and easier to use than before. It may look and feel much the same, but Nadreg has put a lot of time and work into the move to the new server. This kind of stuff, I remember well from my working life as a systems manager, is largely invisible to the users (who only see the hours that the system was down). The community section always felt to me like something that few people had discovered, and fewer cared much about --- so it is nice to see that it is in demand! |

Nadreg can be relaxed, because we all see how everything has improved. All the sections look different and better.
Even in the Photo Gallery we have now quite a lot of new possibilities. I have sent so many pics in my gallery and in my son's gallery that I don't want to overwhelm Imikers with more stuff. May be we can try with new thematic sections... About Community Section, I understand is not the first tool for the hasty members. Thank again for the info. Jorge |

I think both you guys' pics are more than welcome Jorge
Just pick your favorites, and maybe do it batch by batch at a time. At least you think about this, so hats off to you. (btw You realize there are thematic sections already right? Just post them under City Life, Monuments, etc. It doesn't have to be all in your personal gallery I mean.)I'm sure the comm. section will be back soon, looking fresh as a daisy & more user-friendly than ever ![]() |

You are right Machadinha about thematic sections, I was thinking about a certain kind of contest like "best paan wallah pic", or "best turban" I won't say barbers or tailors because I have more than two hundreds each.
, just to give a further boost to the section.Jorge |

Steven,
You are right, favourite is better. I'm sorry because I'm more or less translating from my mother's tongue and as you know, my english is very short. Nadreg, I'll try to collaborate as always. Jorge |
