I think you need to ask a moderator to do that for you.

Manoj is right.
Send a PM to any of the moderators(they are listed on the home page) with the details.

Changing thread titles

Are you SURE it takes a moderator to do this?

I thought that for a while at least after creating a thread, going back to your OP, picking "Edit Post" then "Go Advanced" gave the option to change the title of a thread. I'm sure I have done this myself.

Karuna and I thought all the mods had a signature identifying them but I can now see that I was wrong

That was a kind of offical unofficial sort of thing. I think.

I'm dying to know what this thread title is.

Members can change their own thread titles, at least for as long as they have the rights to change their OP.

I know, because I have just done it [defunct link removed]. Do feel free to delete my thread, it was only a test. Sometimes I just can't help myself from trying things, it's the geek in me!

Ho! I never knew. Yes, you can.

You have to Go Advanced from the EDIT dialogue, and on that page you can change the title.

Thank you all for your replies. Now I can't find 'edit post' option on my OP..towards the end of the post I see 'quote', 'multi-quote', and 'quick reply' options..but not the 'edit' as some of you mentioned.

I want to add to the title the word "Video" as I posted a link to the video also..

Then it will be a thread you created before today, you have a time limit as to how long you have to make amendments yourself, after which it can only be changed by a moderator.

I'm sure that the moderators will be happy to do this for you.

<crossposted with Haylo>>

Your wish is my command.

The edit option doesn't last forever, it depends how long ago you posted the thread. If anyone else needs a thread title changing, just PM a mod.

*salutes*
