Avatar Help

Hello all

I am having issues with my picture - how do I get it to the correct size - did the 100x100 pixel thing and it has come out as you see it, I have noticed others seem to be able to be seen without the use of the hubble telescope

Any help would be smashing

Regards

Cheryl

What software are you using to resize?

Hi Nadreg

I scaned the photo (is a proper photo from a india trip in 2001) and have tried using photo shop 7 - at first it was masive - then I fiddled about and it came out the size you can see.

I am at a loss as to what to do now - I have a bit of computer savvy - but this is eluding me now

the scanning is not done properly..we can see the see background of the scanner as well...

Scan it again, after you preview it in the scanning software, just select the area of the picture and not the entire a4 sheet. then scan the picture, resize it and it shud work just fine..

Thanks for that - I will give it ago when I get up later in the day (am working nights)and see what happens - I did alter the settings on the scanner and that's when it went massive on me.

I will let you know how it goes.

Hi Shashank,

Its a deer thingy that I took a photo of whilst in a wildlife park in Kanataka - they had tigers and lions also but this pic always makes me smile.

Is there a problem with deer thingys - I hope they are not offensive to anyone - if they are it was never my intention

Cheryl

ps. sorry for spelling your name wrong

Hi Prashant,

It was quite by accident - the deer thingy was stood just infront of me and as I went to take the photo it looked up and sniffed the camera - the sort of sparkly bits are when it breathed out onto the camera lense.

Cool! I really like that photo . It looks as if the animal has posed for you.

Hi Prashant,

Thank you for your paise - as I have mentioned before this is one of my favorite photos from that trip - the next one would be of me been nearly pushed over by a baby elephant.

Ahh the memories - only another 5 months to the next trip
