Admin: can we have a search function for Travel Partners Forum?

Hi, I'm new here. Learning a lot but it is taking a lot of time for me to search through all these posts! Sometimes people don't post descriptive titles; other times their dates are different, etc. To save time for people, I think using a simple form for travel companions might help. Every IM person can fill out a basic form like this:

Age ____
Native Country (drop down menu)
Gender
Dates in India _______ to ________
Purpose of Trip (checkboxes-volunteer, academic, sightseeing, spiritual, adventure, language, business, other)

And then they can fill out for their desired travel partner:

Desired age range: ___ to ____
Desired Gender of Travel Partner (Male/Female/Does not matter)
Purpose of Trip (checkboxes-volunteer,academic, sightseeing, spiritual, adventure, language, business, other)

I think it would be a lot easier to filter through these forums with such a feature and also increase the popularity of this site. If anyone else has more ideas, please add them.

You've got no chance, a select few would fill in the form, but within weeks we'd be back to the same old 3 line threads asking for travel partners.

Too many people are incapable of seeing things from another persons point of view.

I find using Google outside the site brings up more relevant articles from IM than using the onsite search function. May just be luck but..

I have to agree with Steven, I'm afraid, loveface. We have a hard enough time asking our members to post in full English and not SMS text language - and one of the answers coming back recently is ' it's faster to do it this way'! Anyway, let's see what Nadreg, the site administrator has to say.
