No, you have to submit proof of only current address.

They may ask you to submit other addresses if they smell something fishy somewhere...

PV may be done at all the addresses.

Thanks, I am planning to give my present address from the period mentioned in the rent agreement(4 months now) and my permanent address for the rest. During the period I was mainly taking work from home and was at my permanent address most of the time

Hello Indiamike, I wish to know the possibility of getting a PCC from another country while staying in India. I am an Indian national. The visa requirements of certain countries want us to have a PCC from countries where we have stayed for more than 12 months. I need help regarding a PCC from South Africa. Their embassy is anyway not very cooperative in any thing. And I think our passport office does not have this facility.
(I wonder why cannot they have a database where you can apply for a PCC from anywhere such that international police can give clean chits to people.)

PCC for Dependent / Family Reunification Visa of Romania

Hello everyone,

I am genuinely surprised at the quality of answer this forum has. Very happy

Me and My husband we are both Indians. We have apostled Marriage Certificate.

My husband recently moved to Romania on a Work Visa and after arriving got his Romanian Resident Card (valid for one year). He has applied for Family Reunification Approval at the Immigration Office of Romania in order for me to travel on Family Reunification Visa.

Now, when I see our Indian PSK website, I found out that requirements of PCC for Dependent Visa is as follows:

IV. Dependent family members of a person residing in /emigrating to both ECR / NON-ECR countries:

1. Original valid Passport of dependents.
2. Self-attested photo copy of Personís passport sponsoring the emigration of the dependent.
3. Sponsorship declaration by the person who is sponsoring the emigration of the PCC applicants duly attested by Indian Embassy. Eg: Indian Embassy of Romania attests the Sponsorship declaration of the person residing/working in Romania, in Form-5.

Now, please help me with what is Point no. 3. I really have no clue about this Sponsorship Declaration.

Thank you so much in advance.

As you are in India, you can submit the filled in Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) Application Form at PSK, within the jurisdiction of your Passport Office.

You need to attach the self-attested photocopies of the following documents along with the Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) Application Form:
  • Passport in original with self-attested photocopy of its first two and last two pages, including ECR/Non-ECR page (previously ECNR), the page of observation (if any) made by Passport Issuing Authority, and validity extension page, if any, in respect of short validity passport
  • Proof of Present Address
You will also be submitting a letter from your husband (declaring that he will be supporting your expenses during stay there) + his income proof. It will establish, you will be taken care during your stay at abroad... These documents should be attested by Indian Embassy of Romania.

PCC - Adverse

Hi,

i have applied for PCC from Ghaziabad Seva Kendra (Noida falls under it). 2nd the cop came and took details of me and my wife's. Its been a week and i called up the cop and he suggested to go and see the LIU office. We went there and spoke with the office staff. they said they signing authority got transferred and it would take them another week to get the new Signatory Authority updated in the system.

Then they checked our file online and it was updated as Adverse as we moved to the new location 5 months back in Noida. They said this will go to the RPO as Not Cleared. While we were filling the application there was no information asked for our previous locations. Can you please advise if you have any info on such cases?

The staff said that adverse does not necessarily mean that its wrong. Just coz my stay duration less than a year. Hence adverse.

Do you know what will happen next? will they give me the PCC or another painful process is in place. I have a deadline of 30 more days. By the time they update my file and i get a msg i will have 15-20 days pending for the deadline to submit PCC.

Hi, I needed my PCC for Canadian immigration and I reside in Mumbai
1.)I applied for PCC through mahonline services and got one for the same, but just for my permanent address for last 7 years(i.e. Post marriage address)
2.)The problem is I required one from the age of 18, I did not read that vital information and now I have a second chance to re submit it.
3.) Now if I apply for a new PCC through passport offices for two different addresses, will I get one for my before marriage address too??
4.) My present passport has my post marriage address and also what documents will I need for my 1st address??
And if someone can tell me how much time it may take..I doubt I will get on the same day😞

Hope, you have gone through this, this, and this page(s).

Generally PCC is issued on the same day, unless there is some issue...

PCC for spouse

Hi,

My wife is currently in her hometown(near Coimbatore), she is pregnant and I would like to avoid having her travel to a nearby/Chennai PSK to get her PCC.

I have to complete my PR application within a month, so I wonder if I can apply for the PCC on her behalf? Her passport includes my name and was issued less than 2 years ago with our current residential address in Chennai. I also have the marriage certificate.

Can I fill the application form and visit the PSK with these documents to get her PCC?

Thanks!

PS: Her name is not included in my passport, since mine was issued 9 years ago. But this wasn't required when she applied for her passport.

You can't apply for the PCC on her behalf... Your wife will have to personally apply for the PCC.

Further, please note, she will have to apply at Coimbatore PSK as she is currently residing there.
