By now, the docs might have reached to the Passport Office by now.

You should visit the Passport Office after next Wednesday to check the status.

Hello Friends & Experts,

I applied for a PCC for australia in October. I got the same after a fresh police verification process(done in October). Now I need a PCC for Canada as well and my address on the passport and police verification done for Australian pcc is same. I want to know below things

1) will passport office create any problem asking why do i need pcc for another country?
2) will there be another police verification happening for canada pcc. Even though verification was done just 1.5 months back and address is same. Is there any validity of police verification.

Thanks,

The Passport may not ask you the necessity of going for another PCC, but, you should have justified reason for the same.

Yes, there will be another police verification for new PCC.

Status of Police Verification

I applied for reissue of my passport at a new address in Bangalore. I received my passport yesterday & also went to police station for the verification today.
Passport website now shows the status as "Your passport has been dispatched on XX date using tracking ID YY". Now, how will I get to know when my police verification is submitted and what is the end result of verification?

Will the status change? Ideally police station guy said he would upload by tonight.

Thanks for your reply..I asked same question about police verification for pcc at psk last time. They said police verification done for australian pcc is valid for 6 months and if I apply for another pcc in 6 months there will not be any police verification. Could you please advise how do they decide if new PV is required. Address on my passport is same as my current address and also address on which PV was done for austrlian PCC was also the same.

Generally the Passport Office sends documents to the police station in a routine way, and it depends on them how they handle it...

Its been over 15 days now and the status on website is still "Passport XXXXXXX has been dispatched on 14/11/2017 via Speed Post Tracking Number YYYYYYYYY".
Will I ever get to know if police clearance was fine or not? This was a post police verification case.

PCC required for all cities lived in from Age 14

Hi Prakaant,

Your posts on the subject of PCC have been extremely detailed and helpful. I was hoping you can answer a very big confusion I have on the matter.

I am applying for an Italian citizenship (my husband is italian). The Italian embassy has informed me that I would need to submit a PCC from each town which I have lived in from the age of 14.

I currently reside in Pune (last 3 years) and I have already submitted a PCC application at the PSK in Pune, using my current address.

How should I go about applying for the PCC for the other cities I have lived in - mainly Bangalore as that is where my permanent address and address on Passport is shown as.

My doubts are as follows:
1. Can I apply for a PCC from the Bangalore PSK which is not my current address but is my permanent address?
2. Will applying for a PCC rom Bangalore interrupt my Pune PCC application which is currently still in process. I just had my Pune PSK appointment last week and police verification still to happen.
3. In case I can apply for the PCC in Bangalore - would the application process be the same?

Thanks so much in advance for answering my queries.

Ann
