She will receive a ecr passport. When she needs to travel, on the strength of her visa, Labour department can give her clearance to travel.

There are a dozen odd middle east and south east countries, for which indian citizens who do not have a high-school degree, require an ECR check for purposes of work and related visas. I do not think one is required for plain Tourist/Visitor Visa (I might be wrong on this)

Do check the Official website(s)

May I also come into this discussion!?

ECR stands for Emigration Check Required and, therefore, ECNR stands for Emigration Check Not Required.

ECR status will be printed in the passport of the applicants who fall in the ECR category.

For those falling in the Non-ECR category, there will be no specific mention in the passport.

The practice of putting Non-ECR (previously ECNR) stamp has been discontinued.

Please check whether applicant fulfills any of the conditions listed in this table.

If the applicant does not have Non-ECR status then all such ECR passport holders need to obtain Emigration Clearance Certificate from the Protector-General of Emigrants, Ministry of Overseas India Affairs. It happens, if applicant holds Permanent Immigration Visa.

Hi, It depends on the purpose of passport. As you are a female who has not completed matriculation, you are not eligible for seeking employment in countries which require ECR passport.
