passport for Baby

Current Situation:
Me : Holds valid passport without spouse name endorsed.
Spouse: Holds valid passport with maiden name. Spouse name not endorsed.

requirement: passport for baby.

Plan: booked appointment to reissue spouse passport with my name endorsed.

Question:

Can I apply baby passport at same time with spouse passport?
Will it have any issues? I have all possible proofs with me.

Sincerely,
Sandeep

You may receive passport any day from now. It might be getting delayed due to long week-ends.

Further, please use complete words, as SMS lingo is not permitted at this website.

hi,

my wife has my name endorsed in her passport, while I don't have her name endorsed in my passport
both of our passports have address of my ancestral house but we had to vacate that house due to family dispute. now i am living in rented house.
now i want to get new passport for my baby and want address of my father in law's address endorsed in her passport.
marriage certificate has address of my father in law's address
can this be done? if yes, what all documents may be required? Please suggest...

A passport carries the address of present (current) residence. so, you will be required to enter the current address and all other addresses were applicant (i.e., baby) has resided during past one calendar year.

Hence, you will be required to provide Parent's address proofs (where baby is residing) to support the claim. Police verification will be done for the parents at the current address and all other addresses were applicant has resided during past one calendar year..

police verification is done for infant's passport, while both their parents hold passports?

Q7: We are planning to apply for passports for our kids (minors). Is it necessary that my name should be included in my wife's passport?
A: If either parent of a minor holds a valid passport with spouse name endorsed, passport will be issued to the minor without any police verification. Original passport of parent(s) should be presented for the verification of particulars. If parent(s) hold a valid passport, but spouse name is not endorsed, then they must get the spouse name added in their passport. For this, they have to apply for re-issue of passport and get the specified change done in personal particulars. Thus, it is necessary that spouse name should be endorsed on the parent's passport.

Police verification of parents is done for infant's passport in certain cases, like address being different, very old passport of parents, etc.

Red face

Hello Members!
Q: My name is endorsed on my wife`s passport and i am willing to apply for my 17 months old baby passport but got to know locally that both parents should have spouse name endorsed on their respective passports to apply minors (under age 10) passport. Kindly confirm me the above.

PS: Amritsar PSK`s executive told my wife "It may require your name to be endorsed on your husband passport to apply for child" but Passport Sewa call center guys rejecting such rule. Locally, one of my known also agreeing with the 1st rule i.e. spouse name endorsed on both parents passport. I am confused whom to trust
