The main part of the site is based around our Forums. 

When you visit the forums you will find it laid out in various sections and various topics.

This image is a screen shot of the Forums. To start a new discussion visit this part of the site and choose a topic from the list that is displayed.  You will find a variety of subjects from Expat Life to Passport and Visa Questions and many other areas. If you click on the photo on the left it will open a new screen where you can see the Forum part of the site and will help you understand how it works. When you first come to our site most of the information on our home page comes from this area.  It is here where you will probably be spending most of your time.

To post a new thread just visit on of those topics that we discussed above and you will see an area that is already full of discussions in progress.  To start a new discussion look for the button that appears on the top left and the lower left of the screen.  This button will only appear when you are in a section. This will allow you to start a new discussion and allow others to reply to it.

If you click on the photo on the left it will open a new screen where you can see a section of the site and help you locate the new thread button. This is for starting a new discussion, to participate in a discussion already in progress please see below.

To post a reply to a discussion already in progress that you have found either in the Forums part of the site or have followed a link to just look for the  button that appears on the top left and the lower left of the screen.  This button will only appear when you are viewing a discussion already in progress and will allow you to add your reply to it.

To add your reply to a discussion in progress just look for the Post Reply button on the top and lower left hand side of the screen.  You may also see a Quick Reply box to at the bottom and this is used just for short replies to a discussion. To add images and more information into your posts use the Post Reply button.

When you register an email gets sent to the email account that you signed up with to activate your account.  If you are using a Yahoo, Hotmail, or any other account that has spam filters in place please check other folders in your email for the activation note.  

Yahoo accounts are notorious for shifting this welcome email to other folders.

Make sure also that your email program is set to receive new emails and your email box is not full.  If your email program was full you may not have received the welcome email.  The activation email will be sent again after another day or two so if your box was full please clear some of it out to accept new emails.

Did you enter your correct email when you joined?  A bad email address or a mistyped one will also prevent you from joining the site.

As a last resort please contact us at mailto@indiamike.com from the email account that you joined with including your username that you signed up with.

This site will not work with the AOL built in browser.  AOL uses a propriety system in it's cookie management and will not properly accept cookies from this site.  It is strongly suggested to use another browser with this site like Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, etc...for optimum performance.
