Yes, you are correct!

But a lot many people will gather there. Kumbh attracts a large number of people there.

At the moment I am planning to visit Nashik during this smaller Mela. I was in Allahabad during the 2013 festival and want to see this again.

Any other indiamikers going?

Do you folks have any idea about what is the best place to stay in Nashik during this festival? Is city center the best place, near the Ram Kund? I believe that is the spot where all the interesting and important stuff happens.

What about Trimbakeshwar near Nashik? That is one of the Jyotrilingas I assume. I read that there will be also lots of things happening during Mela. But that is very far from the city.

It would be always better to stay at Nashik proper.

BTW, Trimbakeshwar Temple is around 30 kms away from Nashik.

You will get a lot of conveyance, like taxi, auto, bus, shared vehicles, etc from Bus Stand to Kumbh village.

Kumbh will itself be a great sight in itself. You may plan to stay there at least two nights. It could be a great experience.

You may stay there at a hotel, camp or in an ashram.
