I also went through it again yesterday.

What I noticed more than the art installations themselves was how obsessed everybody is with taking selfies!

I could not make it to the festival this Naveena, since I was out of town for a couple of days. I usually visit during the week ends and was busy during the opening weekend. Glad that you were able to visit the festival this year.

Thanks, aarosh!! Pretty useful!
Last year I wasn't aware of the places where the artefacts were exhibited. Just visited the main Kalaghoda area and returned. Later found that interesting part was in the Chhatrapati Shivaji Museum.

Kala Ghoda 2018. Visited and clicked some pics!
The theme was Green, I believe.

Green and all other colours made it's presence felt.

And all other attractions for shopaholics

A Woman's face...made of bangles!

A few projects from schools are displayed in the campus os Chhatrapti Shivaji Museum.

Great photos, thanks for sharing! Looks like it's a much more interesting festival than it was the first year or two.

Actually NO! This time the art installations and other stalls also seemed to be much much less compared to what we would see a couple of years before. I think the organisers did not get permission to exhibit art installations in cross maidan, this year or may be they were asked to clear installations from cross maidan.

I visited on the 3rd day and found that the excitement and the celebratory mood a bit dull in that locality.

3rd day would mean Monday? May be a combination of a working day and Monday blues could be a reason.

I was there on Wednesday. A good crowd was there along with a few groups of school children. I personally found the number of installations and stalls more or same compared to last year. I am just talking about the region near the Jehangir art gallery.

I was there early 2000s - only a few years after the first festival and it was pretty small. I'd love to visit again but timing would not work for us. Hopefully it picks back up next year.

Monday blues...I think that is the main reason. I chose Monday precisely to avoid being in the crowd! I reached there probably when the security check had just begun and I was the 4 or 5th female in the queue!! I enjoyed less crowd!

Aaah. ok. You must plan and visit next year.
I generally visit just the Kala ghoda area. But the next time, I would want to attend some dance and heritage walks that are conducted. Seems to be very interesting.

I definitely recommend a heritage walk. We've done a few different walks/tours over the years. Always something new and interesting to see even for locals. I'm looking for something for March.
