Please advise the route back from Munsiyari. Our train is from Kathgodam on 23rd Nov 8.30pm.Other than stopping at Chaukori again.Is Kausani a good option or any other overnight halt on 22nd & then drive to Kathgodam at leisure on 23rd. We will leave Munsyari by 9am and want to reach our destination by 3pm (meal breaks included).Idea is to get as close to Kathgodam without breaking our backs with excessive driving, since we have 2 days in hand.

Looking from the advice of everyone here, I'm planning to visit some spots in Kumaon this dec. Need your advice on my itinerary. As the plan was getting longer and longer [shock] i've decided to skip nainital all together. Keeping it for another trip when I can cover Corbett too.

The halts are a bit longer bcos am going with wife and dont want it to be too hectic. Infact for that reason, we are leaving Pithoragarh, Kausani and some other spots too.

Please let me have ur feedback on this plan, esp. days 2 & 7. Would the roads be ok during this time of the year? and what are the risks for road blocking due to landslides, etc.?

Also, i believe KMVN has hotels at all these places, but would like to know if there's anything better. Also, would like to treat my wife to a nice hotel with good facilities at any one of the spots, so would welcome suggestions.

I've read quite a few posts and travel reports, but pls do let me know if I've missed out something.
