11.3.07 Barrista and Cafe Coffee Day N block both not working, but Inner circle Cafe Coffee Day is sucking off The Corus Hotel nicely, shame about the waiter service...

wifi: darjeeling and delhi

in darjeeling, glenary's, a good cyber cafe and restaurant, also has wireless, but you need to ask specifically.

in delhi, the ashok country resort, near the airports and good for layovers, has hotel-wide wifi, including in rooms.

Talking free WiFi

Namaste,
Could this list be made into a sticky and posted at the top, I know it's a lot of work to comply the list BUT it sure would help those of us that carry laptops and wish to blog. Any mods into doing this by region of countryside in India. Then we could PM the mod to update the list? yes / no of what?

Peace, gregor

This thread is sticky and has been since 22 July 2006

It might b an idea to have a Wifi thread in the destination forums --- but I think the membership will have to do it

Not only is the Barista in Khan Market not "free" by a long shot (about 30Rs / hour), it's not available and hasn't been for ages. Why? same story as Barista in Chennai last year....the actual thing is working, but they ran out of the recharge coupons (pieces of paper) and just can't seem to get them delivered. For a few months now.

Ahh, River Rain must be a new one. Wasn't there last year.

Last time I recommended Green Hotel in Dharamsala. Now, it's "not working" about half the time, or more, and when it is, dude wants 50rs an hour. His ordinary net is 30rs an hour.
