Anyone here using an inverter to power a fridge? And if yes, what capacity inverter are you using? I'm thinking of getting one for my fridge/freezer combo just to be sure but I don't know which capacity I should get to bridge a power cut of, say, 4 hours.
The fridge consumes 0.88 kWh/day according to the documentation. Taking into account the higher operating temperature here, I guess we can safely double that to have some margin. But I think that when the compressor starts, consumption will briefly be a high multiple of the average and want to be sure that whatever inverter I get will be able to handle the demand surge.
Any thoughts from people who know electricity (and don't tell me to ask an electrician here, I'd rather put my faith in you guys)?

"It is preferable to have a criminal for a servant rather than a fool because a criminal's actions are predictable and you can protect yourself against them, whereas there is no telling what a fool's next move will be.

Sorry took so long to reply, mine is 750 and has 2 batteries Lord, Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill because they pissed me off.
Its good to know that things in the fridge can keep cool for 4-5 hours. Thanks for the info guys.
When power gets cut, I do not let anyone open the fridge doors at all! But I think we will be looking for inverters for the fridge too. So waiting for more recommendations!
