Question Using a hair straightener from the US in India

I have a hair straightener from the States which is 120 volts and I want to use it in India. I am aware of the converters available and possess a 2500 watt converter(240v-120v). The problem is the straightener is only 90 watts. Will it work on the 2500 watt converter?
Also, I went to the electric store where they showed me a very HUGE (240v-120v/100watt) converter. I wouldn't have minded it if I didn't need it to be portable. Are there any portable converters I can purchase which would be compatible with the appliance in question?

i had bought an adapter for 30$ in chicago airport (made by GE)and it also comes with an overload fuse and all, and also multiple pins to fit different plug sockets. maybe you should check that out.

If the converter/transformer is rated at 2,500w, that is the maximum load you can attach to it, so 90w would be barely noticeable. You could run twenty straighteners!

What I'm afraid of is that it might blow up or something due to the overload? Can that happen?
Thanks for replying :-) Much appreciated!

Anything can happen, but a 2500 watt converter is not going to blow up by being plugged into 90 watt device. Hope that gets you straight

What about the hair straightener? Will that be okay?
