Skype in India

It's been some time that I've been in and out of India. Every time I visited I had a lot of trouble calling home. Since last year I'm bringing in my Skype phone along with me. And it works just like home.

The voice is clear, ad as ever I just need to get connected to a wireless network. So easy. Why didn't I think of it earlier.

Skype is a VOIP so I do need a computer to use it, and it's for making phone calls.

I use it at home.

But I think you are the first to recommend a skype phone rather than using it on a PC.

This opens it up to travellers as well as residents.

But do you find sufficient wireless connections?

Even I am using skype. But skype phone is new to me. How does it work ?

It is a skype wifi phone with a wifi router. the skype wifi phone can use you wlan internet connection to make skype to skype calls and skypeout calls.

but I have nokia E70, which has wlan funtion, and I install a program name Fring, so I can use skype chat and call(only voice call) in my phone. if you want more details, check fring website.

but if you don't have a windows mobile, then you can check www.fring.com

those program are free, you only need a surported mobile phone and internet of course. or just buy those skype phone.
