second-handed laptop
short and sweet:
does anyone know of a good place in calcutta (or delhi) to buy a second handed laptop? my budget is, at maximum, $300. i just want it to use it as a word processor, so it could be even a ten year old model... i'm a writer, and i desperately need one, here in india. i'm thinking about selling it back in three months anyway... any light would be SO MUCH appreciated thank you césar |

I'd suggest renting it too. Laptops cost more in India than in the US or UK so $300 would only get you an ancient or unreliable machine. For rentals, Nehru Place in South Delhi is where you should be looking. This site has a comprehensive listing of dealers in Nehru place.
But if you must buy a machine, try India's ebay aquisition - bazee.com, now re-christened as http://www.ebay.in/ Either way, I'd suggest keeping regular backups. |
