Rohtang pass is open 1st time in April

Read this news on Rohtang pass being open already: Cheers!

would this mean that the rest of the road to Leh would be open earlier?

May be i saw Delhi-Leh bus on the way,not crowded.I had been there last Firday,upto Marhi they allowed.

Mixed feelings on this - guess any year poor in snow is bad news for those dependent on their crops.

Bang on, vistet! My thoughts are the same as yours. Poor snow means an imbalance in nature's cycle and this does not augur well for the future.

Hmmm, the pass open a month and a half early? The whole road open by the end of the month? I concur about the troubles to come.
