problem with portable apps

i'm having trouble copying my bookmarks into my portable firefox. i'm following the directions i found on the web (locate profile, copy profile, delete any other profiles on portable firefox, paste profile) but either i'm doing something wrong or... ? any advice helpful. thanks.

I think I've been there. There's a file you have to delete before FF will read that profile stuff you cut and pasted. It is detailed on either the Portable Firefox instructions page, or the Firefox page for moving profiles.

I had to read it several times before I spotted the detail and got it right.

Sorry I can't remember the detail and its 2.44am --- must go to bed

You could try portable chrome, it imports your firefox bookmarks
