please help !! ,taking laptop to mcleod ganj ??

Greetings everyone,

I am hoping someone that is in Mcleod ganj or has been there can help me out.
I need to bring my laptop from the states (for work) purposes, and I need to access the internet about 2 hours or so a day, maybe 3 days a week, while I stay in Mcleod ganj.
I will be in mcleod ganj for 4 to 6 months.
Will I be able to use my laptop form one of the internet cafes there ? and they will just charge me some hourly rate ??
Or is there a way that I can get internet access from my apt. that i will be renting ? or any place ?

I do not want to use the computers in the internet cafes, I can only access certian things for my work from my computer, so I really need to get some answers, and I am finding it hard, my whole trip depends on this.

Or is is possible to get some sort of "internet card" or something, that I just plug into my laptop, and I will instantly have access ?? i dont know.... please help !!

in short, a mobile data connection could be an option (can't speak specifically on McLeod Ganj) as coverage is available in most settlements - its just a case of getting the right provider.

Hopefully someone should be able to provide more direct advice re wifi or any other connectivity options. Have a look at the above threads and if there are any other questions after that - fire away.
