is it possible to get postpaid and prepaid BSNL broadband on the same modem and line?
is it possible to get postpaid and prepaid BSNL broadband on the same modem and line?
ALright I have been sniffing through the BSNL website. There are 2 plans which appeal to a heavy downloader like me..
http://www.bsnl.co.in/service/new_BB...hspeed_lim.htm
http://www.bsnl.co.in/service/prepaid_BB.htm
The first plan is that of a 24MBps plan with 250 GB data limit per month for 6999 Rs.
I am thinking of using this plan most of the time but once the 250 data limit hits, I am thinking of switching over to prepaid for the rest of the month until the 250 data limit resets for the next month..
However, am I right in thinking that you can't have prepaid AND postpaid broadband plans on the same modem and same phone line?
But let's say I have 2 phone lines. I am gonna use one phone line for the high-speed 250GB data limit plan and the other phone line for the pre-paid plan.
When the data limit been hit for the first plan, I will switch my modem to the second phone line and use the prepaid plan to last me till the next month?
So basically, it is one modem but 2 phone lines for 2 separate broadband plans?
Unless it is possible to get 2 separate broadband plans on the same phoneline and the same modem.. this is the way to go for a heavy downloader like me.. isn;t it? What do you think?

you cant have 2 plans on a single phone line.
you can use 1 modem for 2 phone lines provided both the line connections are compatible with same modem.
you can go for a cheaper unlimited data plan but you will have to compromise on the speed.

The daily nightly build of a rather interesting piece of software used to be about 600-700 MB for both PPC and Intel;and that was way high as a download still, I couldnt match your download. What are you downloading which would exceed 250GB every month ? Say it ain't so Joe !!!!

[ 2 plans, two numbers, one line, one computer, one tethered phone to firewire, inverse multiplexed - Sure you can do it. on the Mac ... or Macbuntu
