Ipods common in Mumbai/GOA?

Im travelling soon and want to take some ipods for some cousins. Just wondering a few things

1) Is it cheaper to buy it over there?
2) is it very common among ppl to own ipods there without it getting stolen.I read that apple products are expensive there.
3) will it work with the outlets if using the external charger and converter for the ipod touch wall socket

thanks

1. The price will probably be the same just converted into rupees but then you won't have the worry of going through airport security. Indians tend to get harassed a lot more by Indian airport security then foreigners so you can judge best on this point.

2.Ditto, Apple is expensive...nature of the beast. I have seen a lot more people who have cell phones which they use as ipods in the park/garden.

3.Yes, and the converters are not at all expensive here. The beauty of the ipod is being able to charge it through your computer/laptop and thereby eliminate the whole wall socket experience. At least that is my personal preference. Of course, that makes the assumption that your cousins have computers which is not a given...

Great gift! I'd love to be your cousin. My Ipod is one of my favorite gifts of all time.
