iPhone in India (dataplan?)

Hey all,
if I take my iPhone to India, can I buy an Indian SIM card with a decent dataplan? Tips?

Buying a SIM with Data plan should not be a problem with correct id, however, bare in mind that your iPhone is most likely to be locked to particular network and other SIMs will not work with your iPhone. Unlocking iPhone, though possible, it may be riskier when using it again with it's original network when returning back home from India.

In Europe, you may be used to unlimited data plan with iPhone, so also bare in mind that you may be limited to 200MB/month data with many dataplans in India, and in most other countries.
