Well...yes. The reason I haven't written anything in that thread is that I won't actually be in Delhi that evening - so I'll have to catch everyone at the next meet up!

thanks for the link Nick - interesting article. Don't know enough about the architecture here - but from the look of it I get the suspicion their talking about two different things - 1)Metro fibre - which would be connected directly to the exchange, and if that is the case it might only be a corporate service (I'm presuming all the main exchanges would be in business/ govt areas) - and 2) fibre to the node (FTTN). If they are looking at putting fibre into roadside cabinets than that would get it out to residential houses (since most houses would be connected to a cabinet) - but that means powered cabinets to house the mux/signal converters.
