Hathway abandons Chennai
Memeber Electron Blue was saying, at the meetup a couple of days ago, that she has had no service on her Hathway internet, and is concerned that she may not get her deposit back.
According to an article in today's New Indian Express, Hathway Logs out on the Sly it looks as if they have been talking nonsense, about damaged cables, on their support lines, whilst quietly packing up shop. Some few months ago, we paid money to our local cable-TV supplier for a new Hathway deal and set-top box, and within a week, the service was dead. We were told by our suppliers that, due to political pressure, they could not proceed with the Hathway deal. My wife had to fight to get any money back at all; of course, they would have loved for us to just buy another set-top box! |
