good telephone

Hi, can anyone direct me to a cordless phone that will work good with the concrete walls? I can't seem to get very far from my base...any suggestions?

try typing "long range cordless phone" into google and you should get a fair amount of information. These things are like standard cordless phones - but are designed to work over a kilometres, not just a few hundred meters (or miles as the case may be). Very popular on construction sites as they can go through alot of concrete as well.

good luck.

Mostly I only see the older generation of portable phones in India. These things never were very good!

The new (a decade or so ago everywhere else) generation (DECT?) are very superior, both in terms of range and sound quality. They also allow one to have multiple phones (in theory, if they comply with the standard, even of different makes, although the different set-up routines can make it hard. I have mated Panasonic with Philips), internal calls, transfer of calls --- all sorts of fun!

A cross connection, most likely.
