Gadget Back Packing

Hi

What all gadgets do you carry when you are travelling?

- I use a Motorola A1200 (Motoming) with GPRS activated.
I have pdf version of my Camera Manual and all research which I have done about the place which I am visiting.

- A Nikon D40 with the 18-55 mm lenses (a neat wide angle lense)
- A Nikon Coolpix 7900 (when I don't want to carry my DSLR or don't have enuf juice in the first camera)
- Camera Chargers.
- A Tripod (vivitar Bought this from Chandani Chowk for Rs 1200)
- A Bottle cap Tripod. Fits all Bisleri and pepsi/coke bottles) This works like my monopod.
- Two memory cards (SD) - 2 GB and 1 GB.
- An Intex card reader (without drivers) Plugs in neatly on the USB port on any Windows machine.
- Rarely I carry my Dell Latitude 610 laptop. This only when I am being welcomed at a friend/relatives house
- Around 5 blank CD/DVD. I have had bad experience when I wanted to dump the SD cards and the cyber cafe did not have blank media or were asking for Rs 200 for a cd. (burning the CD with the data is seperate) I tried Yahoo Photos and flicker however with the speed offerred by the Cyber Cafes, I might as well sleep there.
- A USB drive. I have my VPN software on it. I connect to my machine at home using the VPN Software.

What do you folks carry?

gadgets to carry

Hello T.I.P

I have a canon DSLR system. I have 2 nos. 1GB CF cards. I shoot RAW ( Nikon NEF equivalent ) and use to fill both my cards in less than a day. Though i carried blank CDs but it was a frustrating experience daily in the evening to locate a cyber cafe .. download 2 gb of data and then write it on CDs. and if the cafe had only usb 1.1 then its takes 18-20 min to download 1 gb of data. Add to it the tension that if i don't empty the cards then no shooting the next day..

And then I bought a device called Hyperdrive HD80. It was as if i attained Nirvana.... ...Its a portable hard drive with multiple card slots. transfers 1GB in less than a minute...and above all runs on AA batteries which are available anywhere..!!
now its the first thing i put in my bag..
