Charging a laptop from a neon light ?
Hi,
I am in a place where the only source of electricity is a neon light.
Is there anyway to charge a laptop using this one and only source of juice ?
Thank you
H

On a 'lighter' side- Where does neon light get electricity from?
I do no want to burn the building.Just trying to find a solution.adaptors etc...
Please don't burn the building down or electrocute yourself!
No, there is no way (solar cell? file under unpractical ideas!) other than by tapping in to the electricity supply to the entire unit, hence Ashishkul's question.
This is one of those things where, if you don't know, it is safer not to touch.

The question is mysterious. The neon light must be plugged into the mains, and you can add an extra plug there for additional appliances, if the owner allows you.
No,I really have this dilemma.I will tell you how I succeed if I survive this new challenge.
I have another question which has troubled me almost all my adult life :
How do you separate grains of broken Basmati from grains of unbroken Basmati knowing that BB cost half the price of UB and is better for making deserts ?
We talk very large quantities here ?
Please feel free to enlighten and amuse me by your genius suggestions.
Thank you. I really like this website.

If children in Agra can tap into the electrical wires with nothing more than steel cable and a bamboo pole..
That sentence is incomplete. I hope it wasn't interupted by a blue flash

That would be unusual. It would normally be wired to its switch. I'd expect to find a pair of wires sticking out of the wall, twisted to a pair of wires sticking out of the light unit, and covered in insulating tape. This might be hidden away behind the unit.

Does it work with mangoes too ? ;-)
I have heard fluorescent tube lights referred to as neon lights. Which are we talking about here?
