cell phone network/prepaid sim card for Rajasthan?
We will be in India for about 3 weeks. The first 2 weeks will be in Rajasthan and then the third week will be divided between Agra, Varanasi and Delhi.
Can anyone recommend which type of prepaid sim card would give us the best "coverage/service" for those areas? What is the lowest denomination/price of prepaid sim card which is available? Is there any place it could be purchased either at airport or at (Old) Delhi train station? Thanks for any info! |

Read the post cellular-guide by Martina here: Prepaid mobile phone in India - a starter's guide! (roaming, SIM cards, networks...) According to this site: http://www.gsmworld.com/cgi-bin/ni_map.pl?cc=in&net=he Hexacom India Ltd (Oasis Cellular) seems to be the one with best coverage in Rajasthan. Aircel also works in Rajasthan. In Delhi i prefer to use Airtel. Remember the GSM-network in India is working on 900/1800-mhz (euro-standard) |
