Buying SIM card in MUMBAI airport?
Hello everyone,
I have an unlocked iPhone. I am going to spend a few weeks in the North of India so I want to buy a prepaid SIM card to be able to make international calls and surf the web (with EDGE). I have read a bit on this forum so I have decided to buy an AIRTEL pre-paid SIM card and get GPRS/EDGE activated on it. I am wondering a few things: 1) Is it possible to buy an AIRTEL prepaid SIM card in MUMBAI airport? 2) Do I still need a PROOF OF ADDRESS in INDIA to buy a SIM card? If yes, I guess it is going to be a huge problem 3) Is Airtel a good choice for a trip in the north of india and to have EDGE connection? Thanks a lot! |
