Buying pro-grade cameras Delhi
I'm wondering, can anyone recommend a reputable dealer in pro-camera equipment in delhi? My D40's getting a bit aged now and I'm looking for a Nikon D300 - I understand the stuff here is 'grey market', thus without an international warranty? Also, does anyone have any idea about the prices? Cheaper here or more expensive than say UK?
Any other advice welcome, thanks. |

Dass Studios at F-12, Connaught Place are Nikon Dealers. Another one nearby is Capital Studio.
In Khan Market you have Rama Color Lab They deal in Genuine Nikons. If you want grey market products head to Karol Bagh.

Interesting, I went down there and was quoted for a Nikon D90, around 42000, which is around 150 quid cheaper than the online retailers in the UK and 500 bucks cheaper than Australia.
If I buy from a Nikon dealer, I'm not sure how much I pay but and Indian warrenty is useless to me since I'm leaving in October. My question being, are the blokes down at Chandni Chowk reliable? I could spot a 'fake' SLR easily, and I can spot fake batteries and memory cards, but is there a chance they could perhaps take a few parts out here and there and exchange them with other ones? This is was someone was telling me the other day, not to trust them basically. So I'm not sure. Any advice? |

There are some reliable sellers in Chandni Chowk... A lot of people do buy form this area.
I bought my camera from a shop named Jona Studios (or something similar)... It is still doing great..!!

Jona Studios, thanks.
Any others? There was a seek guy there, didn't catch the name of the shop, but he seemed fairly sound. Many of them seemed a bit untrustworthy. |
