As I have written on other threads - hold each of them, get a feel for them, shoot a few pictures, see how you feel about them (e.g., some people like the click sound of one camera!) and then make your decision - please do not rely on other's opinion.
Cheers

Thanks Nattusbs Sir,
But I just want some suggestion regarding the tech related facilities.
As per my google only the difference is found on LCD and ISO.
As per My demo feeling LCD of D5100 is very useful as a traveller it save the LCD from any mishappening
So please share the tech facility better usefull among them.

My vote would be for 5100 but before you do go for one, try reading up on both of them on :
www.kenrockwell.com
Hope this helps .

Happy to have helped.
How about SLTs?
By no means I am a professional photographer but faced with a similar decision last month, I went through the various options and bought Sony A37. Before that, I had actually zeroed in on Nikon's D3200.
The A37 has got some features that are cool for a new entrant using these DSLR/SLT like inbuilt HDR, Panorama etc.

What were the standout features for Sony A37 as compared to D3200? Did you also check Sony HX200V - this is a P&S but I have been impressed with the picture quality, zoom clarity and image stabilization on high zoom?Rgds

Nothing against Ken (Rockwell), but if are shooting a Nikon, you might want to follow Thom Hogan's website instead.
Oh, as for your question, if you know how high an ISO you are willing to shoot at, and if a smaller LCD doesn't inconvenience you too much, the 3200 should be adequate.
Yeah, if the OP is willing to consider Canon, 550D should work too. The older 450D and the still older 40D would also work very well, if one is available.
