Article on Indian Websites

So, given this article, do YOU think the IndiaMike.com website is too cluttered? Will a little vaastu shastra or feng shui help?

----------------------------------------------
Indian Web sites go with the flow

NEW DELHI, India (Reuters) -- Spent a fortune on a flashy new Web site but still no one visits it? Tired of seeing your company slide down search engine listings?

Firms in India are now turning to the ancient philosophies of vaastu shastra and Chinese feng shui, used for centuries to bring balance and harmony between man and the environment, in a bid to boost their businesses through "balanced" Web pages... more...

That's well thought out and a nice analogy for the frosting of an average website. But it's content, content, content that
is the ultimate decider of a sites longevity and success.

While it is tempting (and probably correct) to agree with PeakXV's comment, one is reminded of Google, which doesnt have any content

I don't believe in either of the two so I would not want to do anything with them. I for one, believe in myself and nothing else. If the site is good then it runs and reaches the top or else it goes down the list on Google!!!

Cheers,
Aadil.

Tosh! They would do better to read a book on typography and design.

Well, ok, maybe it isn't tosh, it's just another way of looking at it ... ... ...

I think Indiamike is doing quite well without any Vaastu or Feng Shui.

you can spend tons of money to have the flashiest, most well-designed website, but if the content is zip, people will lose interest quickly.

sort of the same thing with people, come to think about it....

It is interesting that this article features under the "Technology" forum. I would consider classifying it under "Mumbo". Sorry ... no offense meant, just an opinion. It is the content and the contributors that make Indiamike such an interesting site and a wonderful resource for travellers.

Nadreg, I am probably alone on this one but the etravediary.com ad's (although I am sure it is a good website), font is too small, lengthy & congested and really cramps out the welcoming and color coolness of the IndiaMike.Com logo.
