AC to usb power adapter - available in Delhi?
Been searching through the Electronics threads but still a little confused on this one. I'm arriving in Delhi next week with a couple of mobile phones and two MP4 players. All these can be charged via USB cables. I won't be bringing my laptop though. At home in UK I use a small 3-pin mains adapter with a usb power socket. Can I buy an Indian 2-pin equivalent? Easy to find in Delhi?

You may want to try Palika Bazaar. Though initially I was skeptical, I've had great luck there.
I bought a charger from my Ipod, a battery charger with rechargeable batteries, and an adapter for my laptop from their over a year ago. It was easy, the prices were good, and all the items are still working well. Just make sure to do a bit of bargaining (take someone with you if needed). Good luck ![]() |

If you are flying BA, one of the best investments i have made is the multiplug adapter (which also comes with a USB cap)...around 10 quid...maybe 15.
Also available at dutyfree...heavy duty, has (US, India, EU) UK, prongs and very handy. Am sure you will find something in Nehru place if not Palika Bazaar but the airport is much more convenient even if more expensive. |

Thanks for the replies. I'll try Palika Bazaar first. If no luck then I can probably find a socket adapter and use my UK gadget anyway.

A socket adaptor, also known as a multiplug will cost you a grand total of 60 rs at any electrical shop. White plug with multiple input holes which can take UK/US prongs. Includes a 6 amp fuse to prevent blowouts.

I bought a socket adaptor (50 rupees) from a electrical retailer easily enough in Delhi last week. I also bought 1 off a street seller for 15 rupees. both worked well
