A brand new split A/C requires re-gasing...pros-cons

Hi guys , need some advice.
Got a Hitachi 1.5 ton split installed 15 days back & due to shoddy instalation by the supplier, all the gas leaked ....now he has fixed the leak & refilled the gas............does this regasing affect the life of the compressor or does it not... i have the option of a new replacement, should I go for the replacement instead?

Please any advice would be welcomed.

regards

Why would you not want to get a replacement?

If you can go for new, do it. Why take chances?

If they do the installation, let it run for 24 and have them come back to check the pressure, it's a common problem. Only pay the balance after this check proves everything's fine.

Re-gassing has no effect on the A/C may even be better as sometime they dont put enough gas in to allow for flushing the system on installation. I had 2 leaks on mine they fixed and it has run well ever since.
