What to do in Delhi before 1:45 A.M. flight?

Our hotel check-out time is noon but our international flight leaves from Delhi Airport at 1:45 A.M. This must be a very common problem! How to pass the time before the flight? Does it make sense to pay for an extra night in a hotel? Or do people check their bags and wander around for 9 hours? Does anyone have any good ideas?

Well if its matter of couple of hours to spend ,u can just chill at the airport lounge itself..

I usually just pay for an extra night. Its so worth it when you can relax and take a shower before taking a long flight.

Pay for an extra night, it's a hell of a long day just wandering about, then a long flight, I know, I done it once.

You'll be able to head back to the hotel for a little sleep in the afternoon when you'll likely need a break from the crowds.

Okay here's the plan that I've followed for all my departures.

Beg, plead, stomp your feet, and/or pout for a late as possible checkout at your hotel of preferably 6:00pm .

You should easily get 3:00pm, 4:00 or 5:00 maybe, and 6:00 if the occupancy is not full and you are a bit of a charmer!

Pack, shower, make any final calls all by 5:30pm, put your feet up chill and watch the news or something for half an hour.

Have the bell bhais arrive promptly at 6:00pm and have the luggage taken down stairs and held in storage till 9:00pm - 9:30pm. Organize a taxi.

Go to the Imperial hotel for a nice farewell dinner/drinks.

Finish with tour of hotel lithograph/aquatint collection located throughout upper floor hallways.

Go back and pick up your bags and catch taxi to airport.

Arrive by 10 .... a tad early but you should be well rested, fed, organized and ready to go!
