Walkup fares

Was asked the state of walkup airfares in India. Do the differences in prices between the LCC and other carriers vanish on the day of travel ? Do the airlines want proof of residence from pax when one arrives at the ticketing counter ?

How competitive are BOM-DEL DEL-BLR pairs in terms of airlines serving 'em ?

The OP is talking about buying an air ticket at the airport counter.

Difference between LCC and full air carrier may not vanish even on the last day.Its all depends on their passenger load factor.

Some can even give good discount for ticket bought on wekdays even at airport counter.

BOM-DEL is very high traffic route with almost all airlines and very competitive fare. DEL-BLR is little less as but still you can find good quotes.

Generally for LCC, their online fare and over the counter fare is same. so you can better check online and see how much it generally costs.

Thanks GC. I'd assumed right.

Common in American English? I've never heard it before.
