| Varanasi to Mumbai flight Whats the quickest way to fly from varanasi to mumbai? I have tried expedia but there's nothing direct and the Indian Airlines site is problematic - at least in ireland anyway. |

| Several airlines have flights...Spice Jet, Jet Airways, Jet Lite, Kingfisher...Most go via Delhi, but i believe Jet Lite has non stop flights.. I recently flew Spice Jet Mumbai to Varanasi return via Delhi..flight was great..no problems and the fare was very reasonable. Just look up each airline separately to get a price. Hope this helps.  |

| I got all that info at MakeMyTrip.com and booked Spicejet flights Varanasi-Bombay. It stops in Delhi. It wasn't expensive, excpet for that tax that makes it all expensive!! -- but sitll less than usd 100 pp, which seems okay for a longish trip. After you find schedules on MakeMyTrip, you can look at the airlines' websites too - I now forget why, but in one instance there was something good about booking form the webiste dierectly. Maybe it had a thing that wasn't on Make My Trip. |

| when do you fly? i'm curious how much ahead you need to book to have that price? we were quote nearly rp.5000 per head for the same trip and not sure if we can afford it. any ideas how long would a train VRN-BOM would take and is there a direct one? |

| I think I booked about two months ahead, or more. I fly on Feb. 22. A travel agent suggested to me that I take a train from Varanasi to Delhi, and then fly from Delhi to Bombay, but on our short trip we didn't want to use that much time travelling -- otherwise I'd have liked to do it if it isn't too hard to get to the airport from the train, which I never researched since we justr decided to fly. You know the taxes on these flights are very high. |
