Uk to India with Royal Jordanian

We have just booked our flights for our next trip to India (November) with Royal Jordanian through our local American Express travel desk. We travelled with Royal Jordanian last time and were pretty impressed when they managed to put us on a return flight at short notice from Delhi. There were family problems back in UK and we had to cut our planned 4 month stay in India back to just over 2 months.

The price this year was £487 return including all airport taxes. Most Royal Jordanian flights stop over in Amman and they put you up overnight in a hotel near the airport for free. Not very exciting. But they also will let you stay in a 5 star hotel in downtown Amman itself for a small supplement (£30 total or less for two people depending on which hotel you choose). The price includes room and breakfast. We plan to visit the Roman Amphitheater, do a bit of shopping in the bazaars and sample the local food.

The last time we were in Amman was in 1966 when we passed through in a bus in the middle of the night, heading for Iraq.
