Trivandrum Domestic Airport to Nagercoil (Train or Taxi) ?!
Hi,
I'll be in Trivandrum domestic airport in a week. What's the best way to reach the railway station to get a Nagercoil train ?! Not sure if there is a train around 12.30 - 1pm ?! If I can arrange a reasonably priced taxi, I can opt for that.. Some advise please...  |

There's pre-paid taxis from Trivandrum airport, or so I've been told.
Trivandrum-Nagacoil trains. The most likely train would be 6124, the train starts from Trivandrum at 16:20 and gets to Nagacoil at 17:40, their is an earlier train (6526) that is scheduled to depart at 15:15, but the train starts it's journey in Mumbai, so will likely be late. So either get a bus to Nagacoil, or a taxi, not sure of the cost of a taxi, maybe close to Rs1000. Or get a taxi to the train station, put your luggage in the cloak room (you'll need a train ticket to do this, I'll explain more about this and the train ticket if you choose this option) and have a look arould Trivandrum for a few hours, it'll probably be nice to stretch your legs after the flight, and the circular India Coffee House near the station is an absolute must try place in Trivandrum, fantastic coffee and food. |

Trivandrum Domestic Airport to Nagercoil

1. From the domestic Airport come out of the airport premises by walk. It's not far. 2. Once you come out of the main gate you will find auto rickshaws. (not exactly in front of the gate). But near by. 3. In Trivandrum normally they charge as per the meter. Or you ask for the charge. It would be about Rs.40 to 50. 4. Ask him to drop you at THAMBANOOR bus station or bus station for Nagercoil. 5. Trivandrum Railway station is just in front of Bus station. So you can check the train timings if required. 6. Bus to Nagercoil will take about 2 Hrs to 2 and half hours. In peak hours it may take a bit more. Pls note that the Railway station and Bus station are nor very close to each other. There are Air con taxi services in the airport building, and the Kerala State Tourism office that can help you rent a car and driver. We rented one for 1 night,and in addition to the rental, youpay $ 100 or so, for the driver to have meals. The drive to Nagercoil was about 2 hrs., and very enjoyable
