Travel guitar as hand luggage..

Hi all, does anyone know if I'll be able to take a small travel guitar on internal flights as hand luggage? It's 38" long and 8.5" wide.(Oh I do hope so)

It is a personal item or carryon..either way it is fine. I traveled on Lufthansa once with my acoustic guitar(jumbo size) and they placed it in the wardrobe in the start of the plane. Usually they will let you and it depends also if they have this wardrobe. Mostly it is at the entrance of the aircraft. Check with the agent at the counter and usually they will let you with it and then request the flight attendant for it to be placed. They should be able to help you unless some arrogant nut is around.

I wouldn't count on it as on most airlines there's restrictions on how big a carry-on can be. I would call or check the airlines website to be sure.
