transfer btw int and domestic terminal - mumbai
I am flying into Mumbai at 12.50 in the morning with Gulf, thinking about booking an incredibly cheap flight to Goa with spicejet (35 USD incl.), which departs at 16.15.
Do I have enough time to get from international to domestic terminal by 15.45 when check-in closes? Or else: how long does it usually take to get through all the procedures at the international airport, how long to get onto a free shuttle bus. Is it possible to just get a taxi for the transfer if urgent (sounds like quicker, no waiting for shuttle)? ![]() |

You have enough time, although just barely. There's a free coach that runs between the airports, but you'll need to have your connecting ticket (or e-ticket, in this case) in hand, otherwise they'll send you to the pre-paid taxi stand.

The free shuttle coach leaves every half hour so you should be in time for your flight from the domestic airport. It takes hardly 15 minutes to get from the inside of the airport as compared to the outside road where there is a lot of traffic even in the afternoon where it could take atleast half an hour to get there by taxi or rickshaw. After you clear customs go to the free shuttle departure area inside the terminal so do not go out of the terminal. There are more frequent services if there is a larger number of passengers travelling. Hope this helps.
Cheers, Aadil.

thank so much to all of you, this really really helps. I will indeed try my luck - loosing 35 USD in case I don't make it is at the end still better than driving in and out of mumbai just to sleep over. Plan to take a few days to see the city before my flight back.

Well, I am sure you will make it in time. And that's a good decision to visit Mumbai on the way back for a couple of days atleast. Lots to see and experience here in Mumbai. Hope you like it here. Cheers, Aadil. |
