Sky auction
has anybody used this site to bid for/ book tickets?
http://www.skyauction.com/home.do
I 'm very interested in finding feedback on it....before I put in a bid...
some of the "deals" are regular scams(a ticket to lima peru , for instance has "other charges" of 155 dollars per ticket...but if it is possible to do 14 days to rajasthan/delhi for the prices/places mentioned I would grab that deal with both hands.

Sky Auction... know what you are getting into
Sky Auction, I have used. It's a great Site BUT there is a problem with the number of Amatuer Bidders
.
These are people who haven't checked the going price for the flights and over bid, pay above what they can get from like: orbitz.com (
). They usually also get screwed because they don't really read the small print (additional fees for traveling certain times, surcharges, blackout times, AND Additional Taxes/fuel Charges).
I tend to travel alone, so I don't use their Tour Packages, the "single supplement" doesn't justify the price.
The Tour packages are real but remember that most Bidders are waiting for the last minute so the price you are seeing will not last. Be very careful if you are on a budeget read all the details, do comparison shopping AND be sure that the Maximium Bid is truly a price you would be happy with. I suggest getting the feel for the Site by over a couple of days put on your Watchlist some ending auctions then you can see your competition and how much people are willing to pay... and when you feel ready just keep trying without losing your head and overpricing your Max Bid.
So if you really want to use the Site us your head.
Cheers
